On her own journey through motherhood and quest to better understand the connection between food and health, Jaya continued to explore the western models of diet and nutrition at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and the California College of Ayurveda. Invert Your Perspective! This all-levels workshop teaches you how to build a strong,
fun, and healthy inversion practice. You will learn important techniques for
practicing different inversions. An inversion is involved in a yoga posture, or asana,
whenever the heart is above the head. Inversions bring numerous physiological benefits,
and can be energizing or calming, depending on the inversion. In fact, your feet never
have to leave the ground in order to invert (but it's fun if they do!).

Q+A Session

Join Angela Hales at Giving Tree Yoga, Saturday, June 22, for a Summer Solstice Flow and renewal or setting of your intentions for 2019.

The summer solstice is the perfect time to reconnect to your Self. The word solstice comes from the Latin solstitium, from sol ‘sun’ and stit- ‘stopped, stationary’. Today, stop and take note of how far you’ve come since the beginning of 2019. Set or revisit your intentions for what you want to manifest in the second half of 2019, through guided meditation, journaling, and personalized mandalas.

This workshop is for all levels. Bring a journal and pen and be prepared to MOVE!

Join Angela Hales in exploring Bhakti Yoga, the Yoga of Devotion. Bhakti Yoga is an ancient path to self-realization, to having an experience of unity with everything. We will flow through an energizing vinyasa practice, followed by chanting with the harmonium and a discussion of mantra, deities, and techniques to support your day-to-day living. This workshop is for all levels. Worksheets and materials will be provided. Please bring a notebook and pen.

On Sunday, May 5th from 4:00 - 6:00 Giving Tree Yoga and Vineyard Wine Market are partnering to support Kate Marr in her fund raising efforts for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Your $20 ticket contribution gets you a 1 hour yoga class and then a glass of wine at the Vineyard Vine tasting room.  100% of all funds raised will be donated to Kate's efforts!

Kate has been nominated as a candidate for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2019 Man & Woman of the Year (MWOY) campaign. MWOY is a 10-week fundraising competition where candidates raise money for LLS. Each dollar raised equals one vote, and the man and woman who have each received the most votes at the end of the campaign win the titles of Man and Woman of the Year in their local community.

LLS has been leading the fight against blood cancer for nearly 70 years and has invested more than $1.2 billion in research to find the cure. This support has led to groundbreaking treatments, patient and community support services, public health education, and national advocation for legislation.

Cancer is an ever-present threat in our society and impacts so many every single day. It impacts kids like Ethan and Brenna, the Atlanta 2019 Boy & Girl of the Year.

Ethan was diagnosed with lymphoma when he was 11 years old. In the past two years, he has endured nearly 20 surgeries and nearly 100 chemo treatments. Despite this, he has dedicated his time to advocate for childhood cancer patients nationally – and he manages to do so with a smile on his sweet face.

Brenna was diagnosed with leukemia when she was 3 years old. She followed aggressive treatments for nearly a year and finished chemo in October 2018. Brenna finally gets to be a kid again, swimming and playing with her sister.

Please help us by supporting this important cause!
